greg vanderstel starter fails at 55,491 miles

My bendix drive failed at 55,491 miles. Toyota would do nothing except make excuses. I got stuck with a $641.00 bill for towing and repair. I paid a premium for this truck expecting high quality and long service life. What I got was defective parts and lame excuses. Then they had the gall to send me targeted advertising to lease a new camry. Who are they kidding? I will never buy another Toyota. I'll buy a Chevy or a Ford and put the extra money away for when it suffers a premature failure.…

Joel Platter Oil Change

So I just finished my first oil change, and let me tell you, not what I expected. I copied instructions from this web page on how to, but didn't get what I expected. What I found is that you need a 64mm filter wrench cap from Toyota. I went to every car parts place where I live and could not find what I needed. Secondly, I didn't know that the plastic filter drain plug came with the new filter. I had this wierd metal piece that I tried to use and it was horrible. If you by a Tundra and want…

Mike Horwedel Rear End Sag

I just purchased a 2007 Tundra DC 4x4 Limited 5.7L with Tow and TRD packages. (Former vehicle Dodge Ram 2500 V10) I have a question about rear end sag under load. The other day I hooked up a 2500# double axle trailer put 3000# of rock (centered over the axles) and watched my rear bumper drop 3". Yesterday I loaded a 800# limestone slab into the bed (centered over the axle) and watched my rear bumper again drop 3". I need to be able to use the full capabilities of the Tundra's 16000# GCVR. I was… Continue

kman truck is bought

Well I went with everyone's advise and bought the 5.7. No sense in taking a chance at being under powered!! Double cab pyrite Mica. should be in the driveway in a week. It is still on the lot in Vancouver and just needs to be sent out the valley.

Excited about going for a tour.

Capt. Tony Denslow Tundra's great for dock work

I operate a fishing charter on Lake Erie and my Tundra is great for hauling gear back and forth from shop to dock. Shortly, I plan on adding a Leer top or a hard tonneau cover. Haven't made up my mind yet on that.

TXTee Damn Near Stuck

Last night I went out after work and hit downtown San Rafael. My friend saved me a spot on the street....couldn't fit though. I went around the block and decided to try a bank parking lot. No spots in there. The bad part: I couldn't get back out because of the curbs by the access gate and those lovely yellow poles. I ended up getting wedged and when I tried to back up and try again I was a mere 2 inches from losing my driver side panel for the bed. Their poles and key code box would have been… Continue

Does anyone have ram air induction along with a ram air hood on their 08 Tundra 5.7?

Vit Kobylka tow mirrors

I noticed people looking for tow mirrors.
If you go on the toyota.ca web site they are available from the dealers here in Canada.
They look a whole lot better then a jury rigged mirror from a Ford

Tominator Tundra mpg

I'm getting anywhere from 19-20mpg in the 5.7L which I think is great. I got to admit I have to stay out of the horses to do so, but none the less impressed. Anyone else out there improving upon this?
