Actually I'm not having problems with my new Toyota, I just want to share my experience with you guys. While I was in Atlanta, I had no idea where I should start to find the Toyota vehicle I was searching for. Toyota is a reliable brand that is…

I just use a treble light or a plain old flashlight.  Toyota and other mfgs. are cutting corners wherever possible and this light is one of them cost cutting measures.  Pretty skimpy if you ask me to do this when you spend 30K on a new…

same as 5.7L I believe.  Take 8 bolts off (5 of them bigger and 3 smaller ones in front) and unhook the metal hooks in front holding it on the frame by pushing up and over to the left (drivers side) to undo the skid plate.  You will see…

had it replaced track and entire seat under warranty.  So, you are probably out of luck.  You can attempt to lube the track with grease and all metal parts underneath and that may help some on top of tightening if need be the bolts holding…

I just found your post today.  My '09 has now 64k on it and the driver seat is doing the same thing as yours.  Have you had anymore problems with it?   I havent tried the dealer since my car is outta warranty but I wanted to…

Geoff Smith replied to mike k's discussion '2010 tundra 4.6L V8 engine 'real world' experience'
I test drove a 5.7 DC and a 5.7 CM, both without the towing package option, before I test drove the 4.6 (towing package-equipped) regular cab shortbox I ended up buying. While the potential fuel savings of the 4.6 V8 was nice, it was the fact that…

I've only had the 5.7 and I find it affordable and worth it for when I need the power. If you're concerned about fuel costs, I'd go for the 4.6. As for trade in, that's just hard to say what will be worth more in the future. Get…

i had a 2008 with the 5.7 and now have a 2010 4x4 with the 4.6. The 4.6 is more than adaquate for most people's need. I have no problems towing or anything else. It is definitely not as powerful as the 5.7, but i also feel the 5.7 is just…

I have the 4.6 now. I sold the 5.7, not for gas mileage or anything but just stupidity. I had an '08 with the 5.7 and now am the owner of a new 2010 4.6l. There is no comparison. The "big boy" is unmatched. I love the truck and for me…

My 09' corolla bought new over 1 year ago now has 15K and rides very nice and smooth still with no bouncing. In fact, I think it is one of the nicest small cars to drive over rough roads as compared to the competition. I suspect you need a new…

Sorry to burst your bubble Cris, but there is absolutely no way toyota will develop a diesel 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck in the next few years with all the negative publicity and billions in lawsuits to follow thanks in large part to the govt. creating a…

Not that anybody cares or posts, but the driver's seat was shot and the track also shot at only around 9,000 miles. After the 3rd attempt, they got approval to replace seat and track and all is fine now. One can only hope the seat lasts another…

still butt ugly on the prius and the 2010 prius's brakes do not work properly on the recall. If you can stomach the ugly on the outside exterior and willing to spend 7K more on it, then go for it. I think you will be fine on the hills on either…

2009 toyota corolla driver's seat problem

Anyone else own a 09' corolla with driver's seat issues?  My 09' LE sedan corolla seat has been in the shop 3 times now for being too sloppy moving around both the base and reclining back part along with creaking and popping while driving and by just getting in the dang thing and sitting down.  It is in the shop again and dealer agrees and has to get approval from corporate to replace seat instead of just replacing it like they should.

I've also got the bridgestone dueler's and for a passenger like ride with decent grip on dry pavement and some snow, they are much better than what my 2007 tundra had which was supposedly an upgraded BF goodrich Rugged Trails which did not…

Yah, and your 07' silverado was a dog compared to the tundra with only getting 1-2 more mpg tops. Winter blended fuel along with the colder temps here in WI drop the avg. mpg on my tundra from 17 to 14.5-15 mpg mostly hwy. driving. I never got…

Thanks for your imput. After thinking about all the pros and cons I think you made a lot of sense. I have decided to wait until the 2010s come out. That will be just a few days anyway. I like what you said about the new engine and think the 4.6 will be just about all I need anyway. I know it's cool to have all that kick ass power but from a practical standpoint I don't really need it. I, too, have some reservations about the size of the bed. Thanks again'
