Totally agree. That is why I did brag about it...! It did the job I needed it to do when I needed it to do it! That is what a good truck is for... Not big into pimping it out... just using it for what it was built to do!

Isn't that why we buy trucks, to enjoy them and work the hell out of them!

Power was still pretty good. Breaks were a bit weak though on the ride home.. Gave myself a good bit of space between cars. Other than that I was really impresed with how it performed.

Nothing to worry about - your truck will be fine and long as you took an easy going home and did not try slamming on the brakes a dozen times or so and go off roading. The tundra along with most 1/2 ton trucks can handle it every once in awhile. I…

500+ Bricks in the back!

Helped my brother pull up his brick patio last night which he will be replacing with blue stone. We pulled up over 500 bricks and put them in the back of the Tundra (08 4.7L V8 DC). I did the math and 500+ bricks at 6LBS each is over 3000LBS. Wow no wonder my mud flaps were dragging on the ground on the way home. (Factory specs say max payload is 1435 LBS ...!)Check out my blog for pics! Or See Below!See More

About every week I search the keyword Tundra on Craigslist in my surrounding area and have found several for really decent prices. Just keep your eyes open!

Consider checking with a few accesories dealers to see if they know of matches......just don't tell them you're not buying from them hehe....

About Me:
Just bought my first Toyota Tundra. It is an 2008 4.7L V8 Double cab. I owned a 1996 4.0L Tacoma extended cab when I was in college and loved it. Between then and now I have only had cars. Well, now I am back in a truck and it is great. I know it is not the biggest Tundra they make (5.7L V8), but this baby still has a lot of power, and handles great. It will certinally do every thing I need it to. Drove it up to Vermont, and the double cab was big enough to hold a car seat with my son, and our 2 large dogs. I believe on the highway I actually got close to 20mpg which is great for a big truck.
