It didn't work to well. The Bleach started to take the chrome off, but it was taking too long. I was going on 3 days and the "TUNDRA" emblems weren't even close to half done. So I left them off and ordered new door handles and…

I never had any problems spinning tires or losing power with the 5.7L monster when VSC is turned off by holding the button in for 2-3 seconds. You must have a heavier right foot than me? Lower the tire pressure, but don't say I didn't warn…

VSC and Traction control...

Anyone found a way to combat these when ya wanna "get on it"? Mine always kicks in, I've turned it off and all that jazz, but 1 or the other seems to say "slow down". Would traction bars or leaf springs helpers do anything?

Has anyone heard of de-chroming parts in chlorine bleach or oven cleaner. If so, has anyone tried it. I've been told it works well with plastic pieces that are chromed. I plan on trying it, let ya'll know how it works.

That is what I would do also if you dislike the chrome look. I would have the front and rear bumpers non-chromed and painted in a heartbeat along with the chromed lug nuts because the 07 and 08' tundras with chromed bumpers and chromed lug nuts…

Non-Chrome parts

Why is it all I can find is chrome grille shells, chrome mirrors, chrome door handles. I would just paint the parts my self but was advised against it.I'm looking for black, seems to be harder than it should be to find parts in black. Anyone got any ideas

hey man thanks for the comment on the truck. I really like the bushwackers on your truck. I think I might try that once I get the lift and tires.

I agree w/you on black mirrors/handles. I didn't want to chrome out a silver truck. Needs the contrast. Love the fender flares.

I loved the FJ while I had it but it was not a practical vehicle. The blind spots are really bad. If I could afford to keep it for a Off Road vehicle I would have kept it, because it did great. If you do look at one just sit in the drivers seat and back out of a parking spot, then with your seat belt on let some one out the back door. That was what bothered me most.
