No more than 17 mpg hwy. is too be expected at first under 10K. I did not achieve 18 mpg until after 10K of driving and now at 25K 2 years later and I have achieved on a 250 mile trip up north going 65 mph 19 mpg, but no more than that ever. People…
OUCH! I guess that'll be 12 sets of toe nails....and LOTSA labbie poo. Nah, more careful if they're in the bed....even in the cab she'll roll around sitting on the speakerbox if not careful. At least I give the signal to "hold…
Poor dogs nail beds are the weak link in that equation. You get to your destination and find 4 perfect sets of doggy toe nails and a little doggie doo doo in your bed.
Great!! You've reminded me I need to post my accomplishment of 19MPG the other morning on the way to work. It sure helps when you keep your foot off the floor. ;-)
back again with an update. put a hard fold-up cover on my bed and a K&N filter element on my crew max. filled up and took a trip north to cedar hills state park. during the trip, checked the milage and saw 19.1 mpg. so guess i am at my max hiway…

LOL you guys are bad. I actually have seen the gains with the CAI/Catback and once I proved my investment was worth it, I started hitting it just to run people into the slow lane. It's brutal when you get beside an 18-wheeler and let it rip!!!!!
You're the first I've heard no improvement with a cover. Wow! if you like quiet don't bother changing anything. Plus I think most of us who have added CAI and catback make sure at some point we drop the MPG to 3 or so just to hear…
I'm getting the same mpg ,(when i can keep my foot out of it)..and i have the snug tonneau, i haven't noticed any difference in mpg ...im still between 15 and 17....ive been thinking about the CAI and a cat back ....but they are not…
