Toyota's Recall

Had my recall done today. All that hype for a 15 minute fix. Ridiculous.

Toyota's Recall

Well the government AKA "GM & Chrysler motors" need to sell cars. What better way then to knock a company they don't have stake in & try to sway them over to a GM. They get more than enough o…

So what's everyone's opinion on the big recall? For me I am not that worried, I know they will fix the problem & life will go on. Anyone experienced an issue with their Tundra?

Average MPG?

Mine seems to be in the mid 15 range.

Here is an instance where some toyota dealers are standing up to the political attack on them. http://radio.woai.com/cc-common/news/sections/newsarticle.html?feed=119078&article=6855247

I bought My Tundra (new) with the upgrades listed in my bio. The lift was done by the dealership through a vendor. I bought it in late Nov 09 and noticed excessive inner tire wear on the fronts in mid Dec. I of course had the allignment and the lift…

Thanks for all the feedback, guys! Glad to hear everything is working out. And I agree I don't want that reprogrammed deal. I don't burnout but never know when the bug will bite or like you said actually need it.

Its not bad or anything, but I did notice that the pedal action was a bit more "slippery" feeling, for the lack of a better term- both depressing and releasing the pedal. It will grow on me I'm sure, but I'm pretty observant of such things. The aver…

TXTee, not to worry. The pedal just seems to be a LITTLE bit easier to depress. Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. Not too sure about the brake deal, but the VVTi repair I had done worked great and I have put on 1200 miles with out a hitc…

Can you describe the new feeling more? I've already told my service advisor I'm considering not having the recall redone. So what do you mean by touchy feel? Easier to depress as in let off it? Hmmmm....And what's the deal on a lockout? I didn't hea…

I had my recall done today, mostly because it was raining and I was bored. It took all of 10 minutes and I watched the tech do it. I even got to hold the little shim before he put it in. It was about the size of a nickel, except it was square. The g…

I believe all this shit has been planned by the government because toyota is a good oversea car maker and the government or gm had to have inside people in toyota to rig all these problems that been happenin over the years. GM got the bail-out money…

I had my Tundra's VVTi issue fixed and have not had a problem. The work was done professionally and they made ever effort to meet our concerns. Pedal was fixed, but I dont really notice a difference. Now I enjoy driving the best truck on the road an…

I have an 07 DC TRD with the 5.7 and no problems. I took it in to the dealer just for the heck of it and they had it fixed in 10 minutes. All a bunch of hog wash if u ask me. I would never buy another GM or Chrysler, I would go to Ford first. The Tu…

I am passed the pied off stage and into the acceptance stage. I have no doubt that my Toy dealer will do everything possible to make sure this all goes well. Should be hearing from them tomorrow, so I will give evryone the low down on the results of…

I just brought my 2010 Tundra in for the VVTi cam shaft sping TSB and I am having the pedal worked on at the same time. I spoke to the GM about some sort of compensation for this inconvience and they were open to our concerns and listened to our req…

Just picked up my 2010 Tundra CrewMax TRD yesterday. I traded my 2006 Tundra Double Cab TRD Yamaha edition in for it. So far I am very happy. Just found this forum & wanted to be among "REAL" truck owners!
