Check out my truck. I have a 3/1 lift and kmc monster wheels with 305 tires. I did have to do a little trimming on the front of the front inner fenders, but not much.
Your truck looks sweet, How much trimming did you have to do? Wife called yesterday and my wheels are sitting on my front porch, tires will be here on Monday. I'm alittle worried about the 305/70R18. I hope I dont have to trim to much. If you get a chance could you send me a pic of where you had to trim? I would like to prepare as much as possible before the tires get here. Thanks Blair,
Well I got the Wheels and Tires put on today and it is rubbing both mud flaps in which I removed both. But now it's hitting the frame part that is attached to the flender. Any help with this would greatly appreciated.

Hehehe do like I do and keep driving...It all eventually rubs itself off and gets out of your way. Just kidding, kinda. But I do think as the tires wear a bit more they won't rub as much and it should only be happening during full lock positions.
Looks good, Do you have any other pics? i have the same truck and was planning on putting the same size of wheels on. let me know how the rubbing works out for ya too.
Yep, I agree looks real good, but that's not the route I'm looking to go. I'm planning on putting on a set of 22 inch rims and I'm having a hard time negotiating different sizes, I definitely don't wanna do any trimming and cutting I'd like to stay the same overall size as stock. So does anybody know what size i should go with?
I have a guy here in Birmingham that might be able to help. They do custom lifts for Dodge, Chevrolet, Ford, Toyota, & Nissan. They are the people I took mine to today and they can tell you if it would fit or what you need to put on it to fit. Just let me know and I'll post the number.
Maybe I was a little confusing... I don't wanna lift or anything, I'm looking to get a set of Dubs, with low profile tires abut there's all the different sizes that have me all confused still. Hopefully I can get it sorted out tomorrow so i can order them, I don't need my studded tires anymore and don't wanna ruin them.
Not a problem, they also do custom wheels for non-lifted trucks, sorry I guess I should have stated that. They do alot of lifted and non-lifted custom stuff and have a very good idea whats going to look good and what's going to fit.
Took the truck to a local lift specialist today and had them look at it. They stated that with out putting a 6" lift on these tires would always rub and would either damage the truck or wear the tires out alot faster. Said my best option would be sell these and go down to a 275/70R18. Soooooo......Wife has sold the tires to a guy out of Tennessee who will be picking them up tomorrow and has bought me a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers 275/70R18's and she did all of that before I got up this morning. As soon as I get them on tomorrow, I'll take some pics and post, need to have some ideas of what to do next.
Your wife is definitely a keeper. She got them sold AND a new set in such a short time. I've got the Nittos and so many other Tundra owners do too. I can't complain about one thing with that set. Well worth the money so far even though I've only put 5K and done my first rotation. No "whomp whomp" road noise or abnormal wear. And what do you mean ideas what to do next? LOL....the mod list goes on forever....do you have an exhaust or cold air intake yet? Do you hate amber and want to switch those guage LEDs? Are you into a good sound system? How about some HID lighting? Tonneau cover? Sway bar?
Exhaust and cold air induction will come later in the year and yes they are on the to do list. I'm looking into the sound system, I've got that in the planning stages, but the exterior of the truck is missing something but I can't put my finger on what it is??????? I got the new tires put on today pictures are posted, let me know what you think.
