I had a crash, ruining one of my TPMS stems from a wheel. I went to toyota and bought new, had it installed, but the light is STILL ON.
I read the owners manual where they briefly reference the reset, however I cannot find where this reset is located.
HELP... if anyone can.
2006 Tundra, 4.7 L, SR5, ExtCab, 4X4

Thanks in advance,

The reset button is under the steering console. Turn the key to on and press the button and hold until the TMPS light blinks 3 times. My light is staying on and have tried to reset several times.

Tom
so the first thing you need to do is after replacement of sensor is to get the 7 digit code ( for 1st Gen Tundra) as well as the other 4 including spare. You will need to go to a service shop where they have the equipment to program the five codes into the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) ECU. After they are programmed, as well as having tire pressures set on each wheel at the recommended cold inflation pressure, you will need to reset with a button (if it is equipped) that is located under lower panel below steeering column. With the key on , press the button and hold it till the TPMS light flashes three times. The light should go out . It is much easier to take it to the dealer. I work at a dealer, That's why i recommend them. By going to a ABC shop , if they don't know your vehicle well, you may pay more in diagnostic time because they haven't run into that circumstance before where as at a dealer we may have run into it a hundred times or more. I know, some people have had a poor experience with dealerships. Surprisingly, some parts are actually cheaper at a dealer than an aftermarket part supplier. It does pay to shop around.

If this truck doesn't have a button to reset, just make sure after sensors are programmed that you have the tires at right pressures and it should go out within 10 minutes of driving, guarenteed. if it doesn't then the sensors weren't programmed propoerly.
