I have the original Bridgestone Dueler H/T on the truck right now, but theyre wearing down and need to get new tires soon.  I do a lot of camping in the summer and snowboarding in the winter, so I was thinking about upgrading to an all-terrain tire, as well as getting a bigger size tire than the stock 255-70-18.  I am considering going with the 275-70-18.

My questions are: would the 275-70-18 fit on my truck, and what is the best all-terrain tire?  Im looking at the General Grabber AT2, Firestone Destination A/T, Yokohoma Geolander, or one of the Goodyear A/T's.

Brandon i have an 09 4x4 Tundra that came with the trd 17" off-road wheels and BFG All terrains 285-70-17 this is all stock nothing done to the truck mine dont rub at all i dont know if yours is 2wd or 4wd. but i think they will fit. But you could check at a local custom shop they deal with these things all the time and should be able to help you out no problem.
I have Toyo Open Country ATs in the same size on my truck with a 2.5" front lift.
I'm running 285/65/18 BFG AT's on a stock suspension with no rub at all and no trimming.
Have you checked to see how much that threw off our speedometer, or do you have a tuner to reprogram for the new tire size? When I went from a 245 to a 265 on my last truck it changed 75 on the speedo to actually 79-80mph....checked it with my Tom Tom & a Garmin before & after.
Hi Brandon,
I have a 2007 Tundra that came factory equipped with the same tires as yours.
They lasted just over 21,000 miles, before getting into the wear bars. Mine were 255/18s too.
I went with a set of Big-O Big Foot ATs in LT275/65/18. They were a little over $1100.00 for five tires. I got 120.00 for the spare which had never been on the ground.
The Big-Os so far are working nicely. Lifetime warranty, road hazard, free balance and rotation, etc. Not the first set of Big-O I have had, and have always had good luck with them. This size was also found in my owners manual along with a 20 incher, so I felt good about the selection.
I got Big-O Big Foot XT's 265-70-17 on my company truck (08 4x4 3/4ton QC Ram) and they were about $960. The XT's are more agressive than the AT's with better shoulder bite, do great to self clean in the mud & snow, and very little tire hum at highway speeds. I'd always choose a BFG AT KO if it was up to me, but in the case of work the company won't pay the price, however these Big O XT's have been impressive and I may get them personally for the cost and performance. The factory tires were what the TRD Off-road also gets, BFG Rugged Terrain....which really are really weak for bite....avoid the Rugged Terrains unless your idead of off-road is the mall parking lot. FYI - for those not aware, Cooper Tire is the manufacturer of the Big O brand, you just pay a little less since they don't say Cooper on the side.
I have an 07 Tundra TRD DC 5.7L. The BFG Rugged Trails lasted 19500 miles. They sucked, even though they gave a smooth ride. I got the dealer to pay for 2 and I paid for 2. Went with the Michelin XT/ AT2's. (265-65-18) Little bit stiffer tire, but handles great in snow, wet and dry roads. I live in Vermont so we see all types of weather here. Great wearing tires and very quiet also. I have almost 10 thousand miles on them and they look brand new. One thing I will say, they make the bed bounce more noticeable though. I added 5 60# bags of sand in-between the wheel wells, so I wouldn't have to use the 4x4 as much and it still bounces a lot. One bad ass flaw in their suspension. Don't know if I will get another one because of this. Very annoying.

Steve
Goodyear ats are good tires, there are tires that come with warrantys as well! And you should clear I have heard of people having 33" tires and 18" wheels with no prob! I can get a price quote if you would like?
