I have a brand new 2010 Tundra. I do not have four wheel drive nor the TRD off road package. When I accelerate from a dead stop I occasionally feel and hear a thump coming from the rear end. It is just one thump and then the rest of the power ban is clean. Any ideas as to what this could be. Is it normal or is this anther trip to the dealer to have them look into this. This truck was one of the ones hit by the contaminated oil. Thanks for the help on that from the forum pages on this site. Again any help would be greatly appreciated.
Tow/haul mode seems like it spaces out my shift points longer but peaks perfectly at 3000 RPM with the exception of going into 4th or 5th...it only goes to 2500 RPM. I could only get it up to 60 before I had to turn into my neighborhood LOL....I forgot to switch it on while I had freeway access.
I have brand new 2010 CrewMax 5.7 and have noticed the exact same thing after the VVT-i (spring fix). The accelerator is also now very sensitive since I got the truck back. I dropped it off at the dealership in North Texas today. We'll see what they say. It is a noticable different in how the truck drove before the VVT-i fix. If anyone has this issue or any information, please post.
I had this problem and it was never solved. Good luck with this, and I believe I posted links to TSBs and such so search my posts... I agree that replacing parts won't solve the issue however. Peace.
