A social network for Tundra owners

Hey everyone!!!

As we all know, Hurricane season is from June 1-Nov 30. I think this Cruise should be at the end of August. Infact, Since it's gonna take some time to get the word out, I think we'll just call the date August 22nd, 2009.

The reason why we just picked the date instead of voting on it is because sometimes it takes too long to pick a date and I want to make sure that to the people who work for a living are able to get that date off.

I figure we can all meet up at Cherry Hill for a photo-op, hit up a bar for a few brews and burgers or something like that. We can work out the details on this as time passes.

I think we are really getting somewhere with our local Houston meets and we are very excited about putting together this meet. I'd love to get members from Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Miss, etc.... Kind of like a REGIONAL meet. I think it would be just AWSOME to get about 30 or so trucks all together at the same time. This meet will be our largest so far, as the meets in April/May/June/July have just kept getting bigger.

I'd love for some members from DFW, Okla, San Antonio, Austin... EVERYONE to come down for this one and make it a very large turnout!! If we get these meets over like 50 trucks, we are going to have a state wide meet in the future....with sponsors.

Agenda:

Morning - 11amish
Topic of Discussion: To be determined
Meet at Hooters on I-45 South (Webster)
Caravan to Galveston
- On the way to gtown, Ben will lead the pack in the back of my truck where Jenn (his gf) will drive where Ben will grab some rolling shots off EACH truck driving down I45.

Noon-ish
Large Scale Photo Op on East beach and Cherry Hill... there is a $5 entry fee to drive on East beach but that is a small fee to do it, I think.

2ish
Eats/Drinks/Chillax

After lunch maybe we can all go back somewhere and just hangout.

Again guys, these Meet N Greets are not sponsored by any one specific site or forums....these meets are for Tundra Owners who would like to learn more about your trucks and kinda meet people and fellow Tundra owners.

If you are planning on coming, please post in this thread and let us know. I like to have a headcount of people to secure enough seating and make sure there is available parking for the large scale photo ops we usually do.

Hope to see all of you there!!

I'm there! Should be home August 14th and will keep that weekend open.
That's cool !! Hope to see you at this one!!
No doubt I'll be there unless something urgent pops up but I'm so ready to come home and glad there's one while I'm in town. Haven't been down there since before Ike.....what are the cops like?
Not really sure about the Cops in Conroe.....I live in Texas City. It should be cool though.
No, I mean in Gtown. Hope they're not crawling like ants all over the place. Only spot to worry about near Conroe is where new lanes open up after the construction.
Oh, ok. Naa, the cops in G-Town should be that bad at all. We are just going tot he beach anyway and Cherry point....shouldn't be an issue at all.
Cool - never heard of Cherry Point. Will we be taking the ferry at all on this ride?
Depends on how the day goes. We could very well end up over at Crystal Beach so we can have some beer....or we could stay on East Beach for a while.
***Update*** Meet went great guys!! Make sure to check out the info on the upcoming August Gulf Coast Cruize Meet!!
If you plan on attending this meet guys/gals......just let me know. So far we are up to about 20-30 people coming. Should be our biggest Meet yet and should be a great time!! If you want on the Group Email List for our Texas Meets...just send me an email and I will add you to the list.
FYI TO ALL MEMBERS ATTENDING THE MEET ON THE 22ND:

OFFICIAL TIME CHANGE TO 11AM @ HOOTERS ON I-45 & NASA RD 1.....SO WE CAN GET THOSE PICS WITH THE HOOTERS GIRLZ!!!
LOL Now I'll invite my friend since he'll probably enjoy that part of it and watching me enter the "competition."
