I have a 07 Tundra 2WD Crewmax and want a 5th wheel hitch, is it a good idea?

Kinda wondering the same thing. The owner's manual says don't pull a 5th wheel with the Crewmax, but who knows?
I would highly recommend Googling "Crewmax 5th wheel" or "Tundra 5th Wheel." Lots of info available.
I recently talked with Tundra specialist at a recent Bass Master event and he stated it is strongly not recommended, due to the short bed. But if it has it in it, I would contact the previous owner and ask them to see what they were pulling>
I've read crewmax+5th wheel= bad idea. It's prolly due to the fact of the short bed and turning/clearance issues.
I've actually found quite a few who have had good success pulling a 5th Wheel with the Crewmax.

Check out this hitch. Seems to be the answer.

A close comparison, my dad had a Chevy with a super short box like the crew max, he was able to pull his 5th wheel camper with the truck, although he did over jackknife once while backing up into a single wide drive way off an narrow road, no major damage really helps if you have a spotter. I say all the power to ya!!!! Good Luck!!
