High picthed noise on acceleration and cruise control

I am trying to isolate and remove a high pitched noise coming from the passenger side of the engine compartment when I accelerate or in cruise control in my 07 Tundra 5.7L. I installed a K&N drop in filters and the sound is amplified. I have used K&N drop in filters for years and know this is not the air flow sucking sound. This is a high pitched sound that you can hear over the radio and is painful to the ears! Took it to the dealership and they offered no help.

I just installed a K&N CAI and the noise is still there, any ideas??

It is the throttle body. Mine does same thing. SOme times it sounds like a turbo. That is normal operation
How can you take it to the dealership and they did not know what it is? It cannot be normal since the engine is a little loud at first start up or more so in cold weather until about 5 minutes of warming up since the idle is higher at initial startup, but no high pitch whine is normal, cannot be. If your truck did NOT do this when bought new and started later, then it is NOT normal. Did you ever check your serpentine belt for cracks on the ribbed side causing a high pitched squealing noise maybe only at the speeds you mentioned? Most 07' tundras have cracked belts before 30K and do not even know it and is covered under the 3yr/36K warranty. This cracked belt or faulty tensioners/pulleys around the belt is an issue addressed in a TSB and could cause the squealing you are mentioning. Good luck - it is not normal since my engine, etc. is quiet. The other thing it could be but doubt it is leaves caught behind the cabin air filter whistling around at hwy. speeds, but you'd think would be more common doing it all the time.
I am planning to take the truck to Toyota this week for an oil change and have them look at it again. They won't give me any trouble for having the K&N CAI installed will they????
Is it louder with the CAI?
Yes, the noise is louder with the CAI.

Didn't notice the noise until I installed the K&N drop in. Once I put the factory air filter back in it stood out like crazy. When I installed the CAI it amplified the noise, more than with just the drop in.
It is the throttle body, Mine does it too. it isn't broke, just loud.
I never noticed a whistle until I did the CAI and thought maybe I installed something incorrectly. But a friend confirmed they do that from sucking air. Are you saying the noise was always there and I just never knew until it got amplified with the kit? I've gotten used to the whistle now and actually like it.
also depending on what kit you have, meaning plastic or metal tube it will be amplified more with a metal tube than with plastic.
Also, how old are you? Yes, that is a serious question.
I have read many post on another forum about this same thing. It seems to be quite common regardless of type of filter used. Mine does it also and for as long as I can remember; and I have the TRD CAI.
Mine does it as well. I have the 63 series. It also did it in my 03 Tundra.. And no Toyota will not give you any trouble for your K&N CIA it DOES NOT VOID ANY WARRANTY
