Door dinger or the seat belt nazi? Several people have tried and several have succeded, look it up. The only method I have tried involved sacrificing a virgin Yaris to the bell god DinGar while chanting the ancient words of wisdom from the holy book of Chilton. I tried that once, I think I got something wrong though. it is louder now. Go fig.

Interesting to say the least. To get back to the door dinger, there must be a fuse or a wire to disconnect for this, but not sure where. Your dealer could probably tell you, but they probably won't disconnect it for you as toyota thinks it is a safety feature, even though I think it is a annoying feature just like the dinging seat belt chime for 30 seconds non-stop if you don't have your seat belt buckled. I fixed that dinging seat belt though by removing the little spring by the white inside plastic piece (takes all of 1 minute total time) where you buckle the seat belt into. Remove the cover with an awl or small pointy screwdriver (push in the small plastic clip in the little hole) and pull the plastic pieces apart and you will see the spring behind the white plastic clip over it. The spring will go flying if you're not careful, but it does resolve the dinging noise actually if you do remove the spring ONLY on the driver's side - DO NOT touch the passenger seat belt assembly because it affects air bag use. Sorry to get off subject. My doors do not ding or chime unless the key is in the ignition I do believe. So, just remove the key from the ignition.

I have a 09 Tundra, I read in the owners manual that Toyota can turn of the seat belt chime, page 635 of my manual, maybe this is just for newer trucks.

CAN.. but most won't.
As mike said. They call it a 'safety' feature which means they will burst into flames if they try to turn it off.
