TundraNetwork

A social network for Tundra owners

I have mixed opinions on how it came out but here are the pics. I didn't want to pay some one to black out my tail lights so I did it my self. Here are the results. Let me know what you think.

Hey Bryce - Love it! The white trucks are great for contrast like that.....
po-po magnet
they look good ....ive had mine done for about a month now and they dont seem to be a police magnet
Yeah I tried to leave a little color to show through. But where I am at I know all the cops around here, so I asked them if it would be a problem. They said "you should not mod your vehicle" just to be proper then added they don't care about tail lights.
I don't think most blacked out lights are safe and never been into it but it really look good on your truck so flow with it. Simple mods that don't cost much are some of the best.
That's badass dude!! Not bad for doing it yourself. I like the idea...I just don't think the cops will in my area. Either way it looks good man.
looks great..... how did you do it and how much did it cost??
I used a product called VHT Night Shades. Its basically black paint diluted with clear. You can buy it online I think I paid about $15+shipping. I cleaned and sanded my tail lights with 600grt sand paper. And then did 3 coats with about 30min in between each coat. There are some pics of it on my page if you want to see what the process looks like.
