Anyone else own a 09' corolla with driver's seat issues?  My 09' LE sedan corolla seat has been in the shop 3 times now for being too sloppy moving around both the base and reclining back part along with creaking and popping while driving and by just getting in the dang thing and sitting down.  It is in the shop again and dealer agrees and has to get approval from corporate to replace seat instead of just replacing it like they should.

Not that anybody cares or posts, but the driver's seat was shot and the track also shot at only around 9,000 miles. After the 3rd attempt, they got approval to replace seat and track and all is fine now. One can only hope the seat lasts another 10,000 miles with no slack and rattling in the track again. What is up with Toyota quality, or lack thereof? By the way, I am not going to get either on my corolla or tundra recalled gas pedal done with the stupid shim because it is a joke recall at best.

I just found your post today.  My '09 has now 64k on it and the driver seat is doing the same thing as yours.  Have you had anymore problems with it?   I havent tried the dealer since my car is outta warranty but I wanted to see if there's something i could do with it.   Thanks.

had it replaced track and entire seat under warranty.  So, you are probably out of luck.  You can attempt to lube the track with grease and all metal parts underneath and that may help some on top of tightening if need be the bolts holding the seat track/frame in place to the floor, but doubt they are loose.  It is more like the cheap/thin metal bracing of the seats are junk and only made to last 3/36K without making noises and wearing out causing sloppy/too much freeplay.  NOw, I have a 2010 tundra 2 years old and 29K popping and creaking all the time while sitting in it and going in this Tuesday for a repair.  They did have a TSB on the 2010 tundra seat to remove the anchor clips holding the seat base on while on the assembly line to get rid of the creaking noise when sitting in it, but that has ONLY helped 1 month now and noises coming back there and also in seat back where rest upon.  I told service mgr. this will be 2nd attempt to fix and there will NOT be a 3rd attempt meaning I will demand a new seat and track sometime this winter is probably going to happen.  I don't spend 30K on a new tundra and expect to hear popping/creaking noises out of a seat and seat track in 2 years and 26K miles.  Toyota should be ashamed of their inferior seats along with probably most other mfgs. and as far as I am concerned, be out of business for allowing their quality to slide so low the past few years.  Wish you luck since I am going to need it as well.

Actually I'm not having problems with my new Toyota, I just want to share my experience with you guys. While I was in Atlanta, I had no idea where I should start to find the Toyota vehicle I was searching for. Toyota is a reliable brand that is inexpensive. I wanted it for my car I could drive every day without any difficulties. I went to Sandy Springs Toyota in Atlanta and was able to get all the help I could have asked for. The dealers made sure I was happy before I left. With Sandy Springs Toyota you will get the best car purchasing experience possible. Go to Sandy Springs Toyota Atlanta now!
